Chilli Muscle Rub is an invigorating balm for applying to aching, stiff muscles. Great for ‘warming up’ sore limbs and easing back and neck aches. It acts very quickly for instant relief. Capsaicin is the active compound found in chilli peppers which is responsible for the well-known ‘heating’ effects. It appears to work by mimicking a hot sensation, which overwhelms the nerves in the treated area so that they are unable to report pain. When the capsaicin wears off or is removed, the nerves return to normal.
